Yes, you should select this option when making your reservation.

Is baggage covered in the car insurance? 

No, baggage should be covered by a specific travel insurance policy which you should read carefully.

If I decide I don't need car for duration, can I return it early? 

You can return early if you wish but no refund will be given for unused days.

Is there any way to fast-track queue when picking up car? 

There is no fast track lane available at the counter.

What happens if I incur a parking ticket during the hire period? 

Customers will be required to pay this whilst in the USA but if this is not paid, Alamo will process with an additional administration charge will be passed on to the customer.

Are the rates offered on touramerica.ie available only to Irish clients? 

Rates offered on touramerica.ie are available to residents and licence holders of UK and Ireland.

Does Tour America / Alamo offer one way rentals? 

Yes, a charge may be payable so please check when making your reservation.

Does Alamo Accept Debit cards for payment? 

Only master card and Visa debit cards will be accepted as security deposit.

Can I bring a child seat with me or is one available locally? 

You can take your own or you can arrange to hire from Alamo, rates are available when making a reservation and the charge will be payable locally when you pick up your car.

Does Alamo conduct driver record checks? 

If a licence remains valid and is a full licence, it will be valid for car rental.

What happens if the car is stolen, damaged or in an accident? 

If a car is stolen or damaged you must report this to Alamo as possible. Where a car is stolen, the matter must also be reported immediately at the nearest police station.

How old do I have to be to rent a car from alamo?

Alamo will rent a car to drivers in possession of a full licence aged 21 or over. Rates quoted however are for drivers aged 25+ as an underage charge will apply to drivers aged 21-34. Please see terms & conditions for more detail.

Will I be charged if I bring car back after allocated time agreed on rental? 

Drop-off time is confirmed at point of reservation and cars dropped off 30 minutes or more after this time will incur a charge.

What type of license do I require?

If we have an accident or car breaks down who do we call in the USA? 

Breakdown contact information is provided by the location when collecting the car.

If our flights are delayed what do we do?

 The reservation will be held for 24 hours, no credit is given for unused hours.
